The subjects of Coco’s paintings are still life, landscape, buildings, and everyday scenes. She likes pastels for their immediacy and color range, and acrylic because it works for large pieces with mixed media. She also produces Gicleé prints in both sepia and black and white for drama with a contemporary look.
Coco’s work is mostly strong in color and texture. She is influenced by the art of Europe and Mexico, which is her native country. Her inspiration comes from those roots as well as the surroundings where she lives now, her travels, and memories. She studied in Mexico City where she completed an undergrad degree in Art History. She has lived and worked in the US for over 25 years.
Her gallery, Coco's Art, is located in Vicksburg, Michigan
